Culture is the living expression of a community's shared identity,
shaped by its history, environment, and collective experiences.

Preserving culture means safeguarding the core values, traditions, and wisdom that define a community's way of life, ensuring that future generations can connect with and celebrate the rich heritage of those who came before them.

Parag Parkhi
Concept Developer of Ayank Calendar

Parag has been living in the USA for 28 years, having spent his early years in the Dallas, Boston, and San Francisco Bay areas. For the past 21 years, he has been based in San Diego. Parag holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and has a longstanding commitment to promoting cultural heritage and community engagement.

Parag played a pivotal role in founding a chapter of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) in the Dallas area, and continued to support efforts across the Southern United States over a span of five years. His active involvement in cultural organizations also extended to the Maharashtra Mandals in Dallas and Boston, where he helped shape community initiatives.

In San Diego, Parag was instrumental in establishing a nonprofit organization for the Maharashtra Mandal, teaching the Marathi language to young children, and spearheading a new community center initiative to host more professional and social events. His dedication to preserving and promoting cultural heritage was recognized by the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal, the umbrella organization for 50 Mandals across the U.S. and Canada, which honored him with an Outstanding Achievement Award.

A key innovator, Parag introduced a full set of plastic letters in Devanagari script to build words and sentences in Marathi or Hindi, further enhancing the ability to teach and preserve Indian languages.
